Kate stole the evening and made heads turn at the BAFTAs ceremony with a fabulous black Stella MacCartney dress and also wearing Tiffany & Co’s diamond and black jade earrings and a diamond and black onyx bracelet. Just how hot was she?!

Here she is at the red carpet and press room along with fellow British heartthrob Colin Firth, winner of the Best Leading Actor award:

Our English rose was also seen at the awards’ after party held at The Grosvenor House Hotel. She posed with actor Guy Pearce:

Showing up for what’s sure to be an exciting night, Kate Winslet was spotted on the red carpet ahead of this year’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards.

The award winning actress looked elegant and classy as she sashayed down the carpet stopping to pose for pictures and talk to press.

Kate Winslet was casually dressed when she arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport. She’s making a quick trip home to the UK to present at the BAFTAs before she heads to the Oscars, where she’ll also be a presenter on March 7:

Gearing up for an awards show weekend, Kate Winslet co-hosted the Lancôme and Harper’s Bazaar Pre-BAFTA Party in London, England on Friday.

Held at St. Martin’s Lane Hotel, the Revolutionary Road actress looked darling in a black frock as she mingled with guests including Lucy Yeomans, Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson:

Mortified by headlines she received for performances at previous awards — giving ceremonies — “Get a grip, love,” “You’re embarrassing us” and “It’s celebrity big blubber” — Kate Winslet assures me there will be no theatrics from her at the BAFTAs.

“There will be no tears,” she told me at the Lancôme pre-BAFTA party in association with Harper’s Bazaar at the St. Martin’s Lane Hotel. “This year I can just relax and enjoy watching everyone else get nervous and appreciate their delight when they collect their awards.” After I disclosed in January that her husband Sam Mendes will direct the next James Bond film, I asked her if she would prefer to play the heroine or the villain. “That is a very clever question,” she laughed. “But I am not going to answer it.”
