Hi guys,

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to fulfill my promise about the December updates.

Anyway, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been gathering and organizing stuff from late September up to the present moment and hope to be catching up on the site before the Oscars.

I’ve got hundreds of new photos, videos, scans, etc. So once again I’m sorry for not updating, but my job consists of taking care of over 300 abandoned cats and rescuing some from the streets. So by that, you can only imagine how time consuming it is! :)

That’s it for now. See you guys by March-ish!

Comment and let me know what you most want to see on KWF!

Take care,

Follow me on twitter if you want. :)

Quick edit: I’ve just created KWF’s twitter as well. ;)

I came here today only to say apologize for not updating these last few months. My offline life has had me completely busy and I almost don’t come online anymore. Anyway, I HAVE NOT abandoned this site nor intend to, just please understand that I’ve got other things to be working with. I promise that come this December I’ll start updating the site again and bring some old stuff too.

Please try to understand. I love this site as much as you guys do and I just want to thank everyone of you who has been worrying about me. I’m okay, just way too busy with other things.

KWF is coming back soon!!! :D

I’m very sorry for the lack of updates lately I had to reset my password for the site and was unable to update, it took some time to get my password back and now I’m trying to change the look of the site, so if the site looks messed up sometimes it’s because I’m fixing up the layout.

I promise that when this is over I’ll bring you more updates!

Thanks for your comprehension,

I first became aware of people talking about my bodyweight soon after Titanic came out in 1997, and at the time I was shocked. There were stories in the media saying that I had a weight problem, which was a bit surprising to me, because I hadn’t thought I was overweight at all! I was happy with the way I looked, and I felt very healthy, and as far as I was concerned, that was the end of it.

But the talk about my body image – questions about was I too fat or was I too thin, depending on how I looked on any particular day – kept on coming.

I was completely taken aback by this, and it was a bit of a rough time for me, in fact, because I was only in my early 20s, and some of the stuff was quite hurtful.

But after a while, I sat down and had a talk with myself. I thought, ‘Hang on, all this stuff about my weight – is it me or is it them?’ And after I’d thought some more, I realised it was definitely them.

At every step of the way, I felt perfectly happy with the way I looked and the weight I was. And 12 years – and two kids – later, I still feel that way.

Believe me, I don’t have a perfect body. I have marks and scars going back to childhood, I have stretch marks from having children, and I’m over 30 and it shows. But I’m fine with my imperfections.

It’s very important to me to be healthy rather than model-girl thin, and to have a womanly shape with normal curves, because that’s how women are supposed to look. My motto is: everything in moderation.

There’s nothing I don’t eat. I love cheese, and one of my favourite things to do is have a glass of wine with my husband when the kids are in bed. I just use common sense to make sure I don’t overdo things.

These days, I’m proud to be curvy. I’ve been told that I’m something of a role model, and – with all the, frankly, disturbing pressure that is put on young women these days – I love to think that somewhere out there are young girls who think, ‘Well, I’d rather look like Kate and be happy, than look like someone else and be very thin and miserable all the time.’ Because what’s so sexy about being miserable?
